ThunderCats Episode 26 “What Lies Above (part 2)” Preview Images!

ThunderCats concludes it’s season with the season finale episode, which airs on Cartoon Network this Saturday! (16th June at 9.30am ET)

Our friends at Warner Bros. have sent over preview images taken from this Saturday’s season finale episode, “What Lies Above (part 2)“

In the season finale, Mumm-Ra’s forces find the ThunderCats and the Tech Stone in Avista City. An incredible battle ensues for the stone as Lion-O finds himself betrayed by a trusted ally.

Tygra and Lion-O enter the Astral Plane to retrieve the stone, but encounter Mumm-Ra in the process. Grune and Panthro have their final duel. Cheetara finally chooses her beau.

WonderCon becomes ThunderCon this Sunday! (UPDATED with new photos 6th April)

WonderCon became ThunderCon! today with the world premiere of a new trailer for ThunderCats, an all-new animated series for Cartoon Network from Warner Bros. Animation.

Warner Bros. Animation also presented the first-ever fan-convention panel for the new series, featuring producers Michael Jelenic (Batman: The Brave and the Bold) and Ethan Spaulding (Avatar: The Last Airbender), art director Dan Norton and Larry Kenney — who provides the voice of Claudus in the new ThunderCats and was the original Lion-O in the 1980s version. The four talked about the creative vision for the new series and also answered fan questions.

Based upon the iconic 1980s action classic, ThunderCats tells the epic tale of Lion-O and his battle against evil in the quest for the fabled Stones of Power. The series is executive produced by Sam Register (Teen Titans, Ben 10, Batman: The Brave and the Bold).
