ThunderCats (2011) Book 3 out on DVD in October!

According to TvShowsOnDVD.com, Warner Bros. will release the 3rd and final DVD set of the first series of the new ThunderCats on October 2nd!

It’s time for new allies, fierce battles and strange mysteries with the climatic final 10 episodes from season one of the critically acclaimed series! With the Sword of Omens in hand, Lion-O boldly faces his future while rallying the inhabitants of Thundera to join the fight against Mumm-Ra and his looming evil minions. Take up arms with Panthro, Tygra and Cheetara as they scout out strange locales, unearth forgotten temples and forge the friendships of a lifetime. So rip into the action with ThunderCats, sound the battle cry of “ThunderCats Ho!” and race towards a showdown with Mumm-Ra that will push a hero to his limits and shape the destiny of a kingdom forever!

The 2-disc set contains the final 10 episodes of series 1 – Native Son, Survival of the Fittest, The Pit, Curse of Ratilla, Birth of the Blades, The Forever Bag, Recipe For Disaster, The Soul Sever, What Lies Above (part 1) and What Lies Above (part 2). The RRP price is $19.97.

ThunderCats episode 14 ‘New Alliances’ preview clips

Following on from the preview images from the brand new episode ‘New Alliances’, Warner Bros. have sent over a couple of preview clips! Be sure to check them out below!

‘New Alliances‘ airs on Cartoon Network, Saturday 24th March at 9.30am!

The Thundercats go on the offensive taking down Mumm-Ra’s lizard army piece by piece. Lion-O appeals to the soldiers to turn against their overlord, but Mumm-Ra won’t see his army crushed so easily. He tasks Slithe with recruiting two new and vicious Generals — Addicus and Kaynar — to retaliate against the cats. Meanwhile, the Robear Berbils make Panthro a new set of robotic arms and soop up the Thundertank.

ThunderCats returns to Cartoon Network on a new day and time! Saturday 24th March at 9.30am!

Our friends at Warner Bros. have sent over preview images taken from the first brand new episode, “New Alliances“

“New Alliances” is scheduled to air on Cartoon Network at 9.30am  Saturday (24th March) Stay tuned for exciting preview clips from this episode as well!

Brand New episodes of ThunderCats debut on Ireland’s RTE2!

According to various sources, the brand new episodes of ThunderCats have finally received their television world premiere on Ireland’s RTE2. According to Irish fans, the episode ‘New Alliances‘ aired yesterday morning (Saturday 11th February) and this morning ‘The Trials of Lion-O part 1‘ was shown.

According to the official RTE website, ThunderCats will continue to be broadcast on Saturday and Sunday mornings at 8.40am, with the next episode, The Trials of Lion-O part 2 to air next saturday (18th February) Be sure to check it out if you can!

Bandai to release a 2nd wave of ThunderCats in early 2012 [UPDATED!]

According to our official ThunderCats toys and collectibles partner, Bigbadtoystore.com, Bandai plan to release a new wave of ThunderCats action figures, continuing the 4″, 4″ Deluxe and 6″ Collector lines based off the brand new ThunderCats series (currently being shown on Cartoon Network)

However, a complete change in scale could possibly be happening with the Classics line (based off the 1980′s Rankin-Bass series) According to the new pre-order listings supplied to BBTS direct from Bandai, the new classics figures will be in a 6″ scale! See below for a complete summary of the new additions in this 2nd wave!
