Not really a fan of SeanLong, but he's got the first video I've found of the Thundertank and racers.
I hope Lion-O doesn't actually say "Thundertank activate!" or "Thundertank Launch!" in the show. :/ Last edited by balgus82; 08-01-2011 at 05:37 AM.. |

Video wasn't too bad. I can attest to the tank being fantastic.

Looks like it would be really fun. If my son were a few years older, the 4" line and the vehicles would be purchased for him for sure!
Are these voice clips actually from the show or even the actor(s) from the show? Those and the one in the Deluxe Sword just sound weird to me, while the show itself sounds great. Last edited by daroga; 08-01-2011 at 08:11 AM.. |

more detailed review here. shows you some of the downsides to it instead of just saying "oooh its awesome!" Ya know, stuff you might actually want to know about the figure.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n_bu6ywVRBQ I still want it for display though. Last edited by balgus82; 08-01-2011 at 09:01 PM.. |

I got my Thundertank in from Amazon today and it isn't anywhere near as flimsy as his seems to be. The sides of the tank do come off and the "arms" do pop off it you pull at them too hard, but it's not that bad. The hatch on my tank is fine, I'd have to try to make it detach. So either he got a bad tank or he is simply pulling on the components too hard.

I got my Thundertank from Amazon today and it's totally terrible. Most of it holds together okay, but the right tank arm pops off with absolutely no pressure. If you just try to flip it up it pops off. Also, my tank hatch doesn't stay on at all. I guess it just varies from piece to piece. I'm planning on returning mine and trying to get one from TRU. Hopefully I'll have better luck. The arms seem to lock in place with spring-loaded pegs. And the pegs on one arm aren't very springy so it doesn't stay. The tank canopy just seems to wide at the back and it's not connecting. Some very odd design decisions I must say.
I should say it LOOKS cool and the action features are fun... as long as I can get one that won't fall apart if you look at it the wrong way. |
