Fandom Awards 09

Well, the close of the year always brings about the subject of the fandom awards. Not sure what the extent of my involvement can or will be, but I thought I'd post here to see if there's any interest in having another round of the awards.

Any takers on volunteering for any of the jobs? Anybody else interested in voting/spreading the word? Participation has gone down in the past year, and I think for the effort put in, that if we're doing them this year, less apathy would be inspiring.

Anybody have thoughts about overhauling the process? The venue? etc??

Looking for honest opinion and input. Constructive comments are the best, but also don't worry about hurting my feelings.

I'm going to cross-post this to a few of the fan boards. Also, leaving a link to the current award group and my webpage on the subject for those who may be newer to the process.

Hi all, there seems to be some confusion about the nomination timeline so I'll post the details here for everyone.

Today Monday 1st March we'll be posting the first set of staff selected nominations for the Art Awards and Site / Community awards. These are nominations from previous years (for best of the decade awards) or they're new nominations as chosen by the award section head. Starting today nominations are open for all art/artist awards. Starting today nominations are also open for all fan site / community awards. Note that the Fan Fic nominations have been underway for some time already so by now I'm sure you've already sent RD your nominations!

March 10th - Nominations close
March 15th - Voting begins in the polls section
