Notes of Interest: This awe-inspiring double-page pin-up is taken from DC/Wildstorm's ThunderCats Sourcebook, their special one-shot illustrated guide to the ThunderCats universe. This piece was pencilled by legendary comics artist Jim Lee, arguably most famous for his work on Marvel Comics' X-Men series. Jim also pencilled the variant cover to DC/Wildstorm's ThunderCats Issue #2, and as per that piece, note how reminiscent Jim's portrayal of Lion-O is to the X-Men character of Wolverine, even down to the expression and the thick sideburns! The scan of this page was donated by original comic art collector Michael Khazen - Michael was kind enough to send us a good-sized version of the page, which can be viewed by clicking on the image above!
