We've received word from a very reliable source that Charlie Wen has been revealed as the concept artist for the upcoming ThunderCats movie. Charlie Wen's previous works include Visual Development Director to the critically-acclaimed video game God of War II. He was also linked to the project Gatchaman which was being developed by Imagi. Unfortunately, the film changed direction and he decided to move on.

As of April 16, he posted a comment confirming his involvement with the ThunderCats film:

Thundercat's is another old cartoon that's making it's way to film...hoooooooo! hehe---sorry, couldn't help myself. The show also made an impression on me as a kid, maybe not quite the way Gatchaman did, but none the less, it took a good chunk of my after school hours. Currently, this is keeping me busy, along with some other projects on the side, which I can't mention yet.

4.16.2008 | ThunderCats Loose in the UK -- And Possible S2V2 Date!

Warner Home Video in the UK is celebrating the release of ThunderCats Season 2 Volume 1 in an awesome way: by displaying the ThunderCats insignia on the House of Parliament and on the now defunct Battersea Power Station in London.

Now that's what I call fantastic marketing!

Season 2 Volume 1 released on April 14 in the UK.

Additionally, we've done some research and found that Sendit.com has a listing for Season 2 Volume 2 with the release date of June 2, 2008. We are waiting confirmation on this date, so be sure to check back with us for an official announcement.

Since the beginning of 2008 our ThunderCats Encyclopedia has continued to grow. Courtesy of Kyle, our amazing artist, the new illustrations include: Spidera, Rock Giant, Wolf-Rat, Char-Nin and many more. Check out the new additions as well as the rest of the Encyclopedia out here.
