Posted by: He-Fan
An exciting update for all fans of the ThunderCats cartoon series, TCL's revamped Episode Guide has been updated, now covering 33 episodes (approximately one quarter of the entire series)! Each page features the official synopsis for each episode as penned by Rankin-Bass, as well as the official moral as written by the series' Psychological Consultant Dr. Robert Kuisis, quotes, TCL's own official episode review, notes of interest reporting anything particularly noteworthy, interesting, unusual or just plain weird about each episode, and a fantastic gallery of screenshots! Check out our Episode Guide here!
Some of you may remember a while ago we uploaded some promotional stills created by Rankin-Bass back in the 1980s to help publicise ThunderCats. We're delighted to announce that we now have several more of these, as well as other promotional items such as press ads, artwork elements for licensees, etc., online and ready to view - check these out in Promotional Material! Most of the material you see in this section was generously donated to this site by noted Rankin-Bass historian Rick Goldschmidt - many thanks to Rick for allowing us to display some of his exciting collection!
Last but by no means least, don't forget that our very own ThunderCats Encyclopedia is an ongoing work-in-progress, with many new illustrations having been added in the last few months! Below are a selection of some of the latest additions:

We hope to have more updates for you soon!
11.18.2007 | ThunderCats Movie Petition -- Larry Kenney as the Voice of Lion-O!

Sign our petition to help get Larry Kenney, the original voice of Lion-O in the 1980s ThunderCats cartoon, to reprise his role as Lion-O in the upcoming ThunderCats CGI-Animated film.
Help us spread the word!
In 2007, rumours began emerging that Warner Bros were planning to revive the 1980s animated classic ThunderCats, a show fondly remembered by fans of animation, action and adventure. ThunderCats fans number in their millions, ranging from young adults who grew up with the 'Cats in the 1980s to younger fans introduced to the series via its success in the 1990s on Cartoon Network. From this, a thriving online community of ThunderCats fans has grown steadily year by year, with the formation of many exciting and successful ThunderCats websites, including this one, www.thundercatslair.org.
Towards the end of 2007, buoyed by the success of the movie Transformers (a live-action re-imagining of another 1980s animated classic), reports began coming to light that Warner Bros were deadly serious about bringing ThunderCats to the big screen and to a new audience, in the form of a fully CGI-animated movie. The reaction from fans was very positive, with millions anxious to see some more high-octaine adventures from their favourite felines!

11.16.2007 | UK release of ThunderCats Season 2 Part 1 available to pre-order!
Posted by: He-Fan
Although an official announcement has yet to be made, it would appear that Warner Bros plan to continue their DVD releases of ThunderCats in the UK, with the official Region 2 release of ThunderCats Season 2 Part 1 now available to pre-order at HMV for a price of £16.99 (including free delivery)! HMV show the release date for the set as 24th March 2008, and also state that it will be a 6-disc set, probably mirroring the US release of the same title.
If this set does indeed make it to production, this represents an exciting moment for UK-based ThunderCats fans, as it will mark the first time that the show's second season has been available in the UK, as no season 2 episodes were ever broadcast on UK television, and only "ThunderCats Ho!" (as "ThunderCats Ho! The Movie") was released on home video!
At the present time we have no further info about this release, and don't know whether or not this will be another HMV exclusive as the last two UK ThunderCats releases were. However, you can be certain that when we have more info, we will post it up! A big shout out to TCL forum member Chris82 for giving us a heads-up about this exciting DVD release!

11.05.2007 | Comic Section Update!
Posted by: He-Fan
As we approach our 2nd Anniversary, TCL is proud to unveil a major update to our growing Comic Section! Perhaps the biggest update is to our ThunderCats Original Comic Art Gallery, with the addition of more than 40 new pages of production artwork from the various ThunderCats comic books, bringing the total number of pieces we have hosted at this site to over 150! Arguably the most notable additions to this section are those in our UK Gallery, which now include several more amazing pieces from the UK comic, generously donated to this site by acclaimed UK artist Martin Griffiths!
You can check out the Gallery index to view all the new pieces we've been able to add, but below are a couple to whet your appetite!

Don't forget, all these and more can be viewed in TCL's very own Original Comic Art Gallery!
We are also proud to present two more interviews conducted with two more creators of the UK ThunderCats comic, namely artists Lee Sullivan and Andrew Wildman. These two interviews not only provide insight into Lee and Andrew's work on ThunderCats, but also give us a real insight into what life was like at Marvel UK back in the 1980s!
Lastly for this update, we have a special feature spotlighting an appearance in the UK comic by one of ThunderCats' rarest characters, the Stinger! Learn more about this character and how it fitted into Marvel UK's ThunderCats continuity by reading The Stinger appears!
As we head towards our 2nd Anniversary next month we hope to have more great updates for you - stay tuned!
